Limestone Testing, St. Louis

Some limestone, if improperly treated, will stain when overexposed to moisture.  In this situation, water sensitive minerals oxidized and turned the stone’s surface dark brown.  Chemical and mechanical tests were conducted to determine the best solution for stain removal.  Once the stone was cleaned and restored, a sealer specifically designed and tested for this limestone was applied through a multi-step process.
